Say it Out Loud is an online youth initiative that has recently started while in lockdown. It aims to improve people’s public speaking skills. And that is, by providing them a safe space where they can freely express their thoughts and interests without fear of judgement .
Their activities consist of holding meetings with 20 participants. The latter are meticulously selected through an application process. Each single one of them is then allowed to voice their opinion about absolutely anything for 5 minutes. And by doing so in front of the other participants, their confidence will be boosted. Their first event is going to be held on 15th June. The topics the applicants chose varied from: “Why is the American dream dead?”, “Women in Politics”, “Gender Inequality”, “Filmmaking” and “Art”.
They are hoping to further expand so that they can help more people. They strongly believe that everyone has the right to speak their mind. And by encouraging people to improve their public speaking skills, they will enhance their confidence to do so. Needless to say, this reflects the core values they hold.
